of 

Wallace Bridges, Jr.

 

Wallace Benjamin Bridges Jr., known to family and friends as John Bridges, passed away on July 3, 2026, at his home in Gary, Texas. He was born on December 24, 1942, in Mississippi. 

John was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved his family and enjoyed playing penny poker/slots. He is survived by his daughter, Ann; his daughter, Kelly, and her husband, Jeremy Harding; his granddaughter, Dallas Nicol; and his chosen granddaughter, Savanna. He will be remembered with love by his family and all who knew him. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date, with details to be announced once arrangements have been finalized. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to help cover funeral expenses. Contributions may be sent to  Blacks Funeral Home at 903-693-3611
