Obituary
Melindy Marie Vickers was born in DeBerry, TX to the parents of the late Sammie Vickers and Luella George Vickers. She was preceded in death by two sisters Ida Mae Tucker and Ruby Lee Bell and two brothers Sam Edward Vickers and Lou Eddie Vickers (Boy).
She was a member of New Point Church of Christ and remained faithful until death. She attended Carthage Public Schools and Panola College where earned a Nursing Degree. She worked at Marshall Memorial Hospital as an LVN.
She united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Urie Lee Reed on August 14,1970 who preceded her in death and to this union three children were born.
She leaves to cherish in her memories, three wonderful son Quincy Reed (Ramona), Carlos Reed (Tomika) both of Dallas, Christopher Reed (Naronda) of Marshall. Six grandkids Deshun, Deyon, Carlos Jr, Noah, Malik and Kristina. One great grandson Kwesi, and host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service for Melindy Reed will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, May 5, 2023, Southside Church of Christ, Marshall, Texas. Visitation 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Black's Family Center 2308 S. Washington, Marshall, Texas 75672. Interment Liberty Cemetery Marshall, Texas.
