Curley Hudson Obituary

Mr. Curley Hudson, Sr. was born on September 18, 1953, in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Huey P. Hudson, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Hudson. Curley was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Ree, a brother, Larry Hudson, and granddaughter, Alicia Benefield.


Curley graduated from Southwood High School in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1971. A multi-talented individual, Curley was a mechanic, welder, culinary artist, business owner, and master gardener.


He attended the Church of the Living God in Keithville, Louisiana. Curley was an encourager, loved to tell jokes which he created, and was positive and uplifting to family, friends, and others. He could talk to anyone and had a great smile which lit up the room.


Curley is survived by his two children, a son Curley Hudson, Jr. (Tracy) and daughter Tomekia Hudson, four brothers, five sisters, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.


     A memorial celebration will be held to honor his life at a later date.
