Carolyn Long

"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I

Carolyn Long was born on November 13, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Larron Long
and Gertrude Long. Carolyn was a fantastic Mother, Wife, Sister, and Daughter. Her no-
nonsense attitude and charming sense of humor made her loved by many. With a zest for
life, Carolyn will be remembered with love long after her death. Carolyn never sugar-coated
how she felt about anyone, especially after her stroke, and she will forever be known as our
“WICKED.”

Carolyn graduated from Logansport Rosenwald High School, where she served as
Secretary. She also attended Southern University. Carolyn loved to learn and travel,
especially wherever Dawn was living.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her daughter, Caral, her brother, Roy, her sisters, Joyce &
Elsie, and her father, Larron.

Carolyn is survived by her remarkable children Beverly Pitts (Robert), Dawn Lambert
(Claude), and Wendell Williams Jr. (Candace), and son-in-love Dane Cottman.

She also leaves behind her Wonderful Mother, Missionary Gertrude Long, siblings Mariah Wesley, Glynn Long, Teresa Long, and Henry Long, as well as her ex-husband Wendell Williams Sr., and long-time companion and love Robert Minor.

Carolyn is survived by her remarkable grandchildren, Whitney, Kendric, Tatiana, Marshall,
Chase, Channing, Marquell, Wynde, Karrie, Kyndall, and Aalysia. And not to be left out her
great-grandchidlren, LaKendrick, Amairah, Princess, Marquell Jr., Ty’Quell. As well as a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
